We begin our online piano lessons by making a genuine connection. I’m not just here to teach you the piano - I’d love to get to know you too!
We keep our connection going in between our meetings via video feedback and answers to any questions that pop up while you’re playing the piano at home.
As your piano teacher, I’m always here for you. You’re never left on your own.
Focus
Learn with confidence on your own piano or keyboard!
We’ll focus on an achievable piano exercise or two that relate to an aspect of piano technique, or to prepare you for a song you’re working on. Sometimes we’ll look at a relevant aspect of music theory as well.
Then, on to the main event - your songs! Your current “Piano Chill” could be classical, film, jazz, pop or more (use your Wish List to request the music you love!)
On your piano journey, we’ll use a combination of:
Personalised piano arrangements
Customised demo and/or backing tracks to support you
Info sheets with helpful information about music theory or further details on your songs
Online lessons at Piano Chill are very easy to follow, with:
Overhead piano view - to focus in on the piano notes
Side piano view - to see hand and arm movements
Sheet music view - where I’ll draw your attention to aspects of the music
You’ll also receive personal lesson notes sent to you after every piano lesson.

Learning the piano as an adult is a team effort, and an ongoing conversation between you and me, your piano teacher!
We always take the time to reflect on how you’re going with learning piano, what you’re enjoying - or would like more help with - and anything new that you’d like to learn in our lessons together. I’ll continue to develop learning materials for you in between meetings.
